Nothing Crafty

I am desperately trying to catch up with posting photos, yesterday I managed to do the crafty stuff and today will be general photos.

We have lots of visits from dogs as my Daughter In Law runs a dog walking business http://www.walkingoncloud9.co.uk/wp/

This beautiful cat arrived last month ,at first we thought she was a stray but it turned out she had escaped while being looked after in the village, I am not sure she would have stayed long with all the dogs arriving.

I also get lots of visits from little people

Wilson is becoming slower and greyer each day, but at least the rat poison had no lasting affect.

The little people were there as well.

I have made a lot of friends online and Pam in Memphis is one of the best, I happened to mention two of my oldest friends here in the UK were going to be in Memphis for a couple of days,,and she arranged to meet them and show them around. It was so kind of her, I just wish I had been there as well.

The frames are going up very quickly, and the panels will be in place by this Friday, next week we should be connected to the National Grid, and hopefully producing enough power for at least 20 homes.

Easter Already

How can it possibly be Easter ,it only seems  like yesterday I was complaining about the commercial  side  of Christmas, and  now the next  Christian festival to be ruined has been and gone.

As a child I remember the simple gift of one tiny egg,and always going to Church / Sunday school wearing a boater. My Mother or Father always warmed the Hot cross buns, and sang the song as they were handed out.

Hot cross buns!
Hot cross buns!
One ha' penny, two ha' penny,
Hot cross buns!
If you have no daughters,
Give them to your sons
One ha' penny,
Two ha' penny,
Hot Cross Buns![1]

Now they are available all year round.

This Easter has also been very cold, in fact it has been the coldest since modern records began, this means that for many including us the Bank Holiday meant staying at home.

I have seen signs of spring, last week the honey bees went into overdrive on a rare sunny dayDSC_0238
