FIELD NOTES

As I mentioned yesterday  Trine sent me a wonderful hand made journal

IMG_4509

And today as if by magic the Fields gave me inspiration to fill two pages.

I am not the Worlds most knowledgeable  Birder but I do love to watch and listen to the various birds that come into my garden/field.

And today I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing.

SWALLOWS

BLACKBIRDS

ROBINS

COLLARED DOVE

WOOD PIGEON

FERRAL PIGEON

WOODPECKER

BLUETITS

SPARROWS

MAGPIES

CROWS

ROOKS

BUZZARDS

THRUSH

And so Trines journal has been put to good use with the list of birds ,feathers left behind after a small affray and a new technique  I am trying , printing on cotton tape.

TWO MEN WENT TO MOW

I  know we are having good weather when the Farmer comes in to cut our fields. They had a bad harvest last year and I am hoping that the number of bales will be up this time.

I received another set of Bluebirds this morning from Mel-made in Australia

Also in the post came a surprise package from my very dear friend Trine in Denmark. it was a handmade journal that I had admired a few days ago.As I have said before I am a real fan of Trines work and this journal is wonderful.

This was all good fun until I got home  ,after taking Wilson for a walk I discovered I had lost my house keys ,I was already very tired and hungry and searched for two hours .I retraced my dog walk ,emptied out my bag and generally looked every where.

And i eventually found them hanging on the bird feeder which I had filled earlier.

One last thing I bought yet another die for my now SIZZIX BIG SHOT PRO

ONCOLOGY AND BOOKS

I spent a short time this morning in the oncology outpatients with my Father,as some of you may know he has been fighting Non Hodgkin's lymphoma for the second time. The consultant told him he has made a partial recover and they hope it would not get any worse. But standing in the waiting room with perhaps 20/30 people waiting to be seen by a doctor ,It was bought home to me how lucky I am.

After taking my Father home I once more called into the Book Barn and the books were stll £1 each

I chose 19 mainly for their covers or the pictures inside.
