A FLOCK OF BLUEBIRDS

I have received four more sets of Bluebirds ,the first arrived yesterday from Sharon  (U K ) who has a wonderful blog http://theshabbychicbohemian.blogspot.com/ which is well worth visiting for her wonderful photos of her art, garden and of course her cats.

Sharon’s cards really need to be seen and felt that are beautiful with vintage paper, fabric and hand stitching.
Lynn also from the  UK has also sent vintage  inspired cards..They are made with pages from a hymn book, gesso, paper napkins, glazing medium and acrylic paint.

And even the back of the cards are decorative.

I love all of the images on these cards Lynn and the vintage look is great.

Next  from Monika in Poland we have four sparkly bluebirds.

Monika has layered her cards with paper and the bluebirds are cut from corrugated card and decorated with glitter. Thank you Monika they brightened a dull wet day.

Lastly in this flock we have the cards from Tasha in   sunny California.
Tasha’s cards are super  four different blue birds on backgrounds created using paper, stamping and ink. Each bird is very textured (i think gesso has been used ) and they are wonderful shade of blue. The cards have been embellished with beads ,crystals and yarn

I am now beginning to get addicted to my daily art prompt from milliande at

http://www.milliande.com/art-journal-january-2011.html the anticipation of what we will be asked to do starts building from early morning. So much so that I am checking for emails on a regular basis. Of course this does mean that I have little time for much else. Today I did manage at last to produce ATCs to send to Rachel for the Dolls House swap. I have been agonizing over this swap for weeks and I was going to pull out but today an idea came and I was pleased with the end result. Now all that is left outstanding is a tea and cake ATC swap and my monthly journal page swap.
On top of that I really want to take more photos and make an effort to learn how to use my camera properly after all there is no point in having good equipment if you do not use it correctly.
