Happy And Sad

A little late but here are the photos I took on our walk News years day morning. Wilson is one very lucky Labrador as we own fields and he is able to roam ,but we thought we walk to the nearby industrial estate where they have two very large ponds.

This is the row of Larch trees we planted now about 12 ft tall

I love the markings on this ,it reminds me of  a Tim Holtz tattered florals die.

DSC_0006

I wondered what this was on the Mole Hills

DSC_0007

I am thinking it may be couch grass seeds?

DSC_0009

Wilson just has to go into any water, we did not realise what problems this was going to cause later in the day.

You can see the main A road which we have to cross to get to the ponds.

As you go into the estate ,this piece of community art greets you.

Total waste of money,it cost thousands of pounds ,and unless you were knowledgeable about the River Severn  it would be lost on you.

It is meant to represent the Putcher nets used to catch Salmon.

What do you think ?

DSC_0015

There are really good paths around the ponds

Wilson is already in the water at this point

This is what you have to walk through to get into the ponds,at the risk of upsetting anyone ,it is there to keep out local lads on motorcycles and we also have a problem in the area with Travellers

DSC_0035

I hope we do not have a bad winter now ,because the birds have taken most of the berries.

DSC_0037

this is the second pond

DSC_0040

much bigger than it looks here

We walked across our fields to get to the ponds ,but we could have walked down the bridle path which borders them, and is part of the National Cycle Network

A tinge of sadness walking pass this tree as a young local  woman hung herself from it two years ago ,leaving two young children.

When we got back we discovered horses had been in our neighbours garden during the night.

DSC_0072

they were not very happy

And as I said in my last post  ,neither was Wilson  his hips were very painful by the evening.

He was much better the following day

these were made in about 10 minutes with  kraft paper from Amazon packaging. pulped in water and pushed into moulds.

And now back to Wilson, yesterday his hips went again and so last night we had to obtain more medication from the vets, he was fine this morning but this afternoon another relapse. We know that this year we may have to make some very difficult decisions.
