Happy New Year

Towards the end of last year I discovered I actually had nothing to say, each day was the same as the previous ,and my blog suffered. Some of you may be thinking  that I never really have anything to say, and I must admit  I do so admire my other blogger friends with their intelligent conversation.

So here we are in the New Year  and I will try not to bore you ,I am just going to post  a few  photos with small snippets of information.

And she will ride around on her scooter ,head covered  with no fear.

The rest of the family were reluctant to having their photo taken

but I managed a few shots

My Dad who has just regained the 2 stone he lost when he was suffering with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

This was quite sad because they are all now in their eighties  and none of them are good health.

Now for a few crafty bits

Now more about Wilson today we took him for a walk across our fields to the what we call the lakes ( more photos on that tomorrow) and being a lab he had to get in water ,be it ditch or lake and tonight he is very poorly. He has bad hips  and we know his limits but somehow today he must have done too much.

I have even had to call the out of hours vet for advice, and it may mean a trip to the vets tomorrow. Not good news when we  have changed insurance companies and they will not cover his hips.

  1. Maybe Miss X will grow up to create new head fashions for us all one day. I love your altered book beginnings too. I do enjoy visiting your blog and reading your musings.
Happy New Year, my friend. Patty

  3. Your posts never bore! Stay as you are as it is just right! Little miss is getting big. I still love her big beautiful eyes the best! I hope Mr. Wilson will mend quickly. Being a part of the family, it's tough to see our furry pets in distress. My German Shepherd is destined to have hip problems when she gets older. I already see signs when she runs to much she favors her hips. Happy New Year Mary! xo

  5. Wow, what a beautiful new look to your blog. I'm not sure exactly what's new, but it looks bigger, larger photos, different background color and bigger type?
I enjoy reading your blog, seeing your granddaughter, and of course your wonderful crafts, art etc. I also likes seeing photos of you, I like to see who I'm talking to.
Sorry about your dog, mine has bad arthritis and a bad heart too. We don't know how old he is because we got him as an adult. It cost's a small fortune when I have to take him to the vet. They are our babies what else can you do?

Those Louise cards are awesome, I used to read her books years ago. I think I need those cards. The vintage journals and your pages are great too.

  6. Mary, you have quite the fan club! I, too, really enjoy your blog. You always inspire me to be creative, something that I often let fall by the wayside. You are a terrific reminder to be artful and share that art. I love that you share your family with us and feel it enables all of us to get to know each other on opposite sides of the globe. You just keep blogging in your own lovely style and know you are never a bore!
