30 years ago today the weather was not as sunny as today, but it was dry and bright and I spent the morning decorating the village hall for our wedding reception. We had decided not to go down the catered option at a hotel we wanted to do everything ourselves. Friends ,family and villagers all joined in and we had a great day
It was very relaxed and after the meal everyone chipped in with the cleaning up.Those who wanted to came back back to our newly built bungalow to wind down. We had no internal doors and only a very basic kitchen but that made it even more special.
I will only post a couple of photos
My two youngest Bridesmaids
Sisters Eleanor on the left who now lives in the Cayman Islands and her sister April who lives on Vancouver Island and they both have their own adorable children.
And the Happy Couple
Celebrations are great ! although not good for the waistline .
1kg of chocolates .
Also today the last of the Bluebirds flew in
From Amanda in Florida
This photo does not do them justice Amanda has used an original photo of a Blue Jay that she took in Colorado. each one slightly different with photo editing and just perfect.
Last but by no means least Cards from Dawna in Ontario.
Each card is different and has a meaningful quote
Tomorrow the last of the bluebirds will fly from this nest and I would like to thank everyone who took part.
