I'M AN ARTIST GET ME OUT OF HERE

Every now and then I have quite a creative spell and yesterday was a good day.I am doing a 6"x4" art swap on MILLIANDE web site.

I decided to make a piece and send it as mail art .I never put much thought into it before I start I just go with the flow and this was last nights creation.

Ranger distressed inks used for the background and a TIM HOLTZ ALTERATIONS DIE used for the bird cage.I embossed this in gold and added a vintage image.Flowers were added cut from green felt using a Sizzix die.And a rubber stamped embellishment added to the cage.

Needless to say I am now not going to send it as it is through the post as it may be too delicate.

I have been really busy what with online art swaps and getting paintings ready for 2 shows.

I have sent ATCs and other assemblage items around the world. And I have 2 paintings at Yate Library in an exhibition. And 6 at Wyevale garden center with the Thornbury Art Club serendipity exhibition,

Sad Friday

Today was a good and bad day IBS was causing me problems so I was very lazy am but by the afternoon quite motivated,To brighten my day further I received a RAAK (random act of kindness in the post.It was from Nicole in Newfoundland whom I have never met but like me belongs to Milliande.com a online group for women. These RAAKs are sent out just for the joy of giving but in my case receiving.It was a beautiful photo taken by Nicole and I love it. This motivated me and I started snapping like mad with the camera as the sun was out so were the insects and there was a lot of activity.I tried to take some more shots of the sunset which has been enhanced by the volcanic ash from Iceland but I really dont have the technical skills to take amazing shots

Dull overcast day so not that motivated but I cleaned studio room and made 5 cards.

Not that I am really a card maker but I have selection in the local post office.
