I am struggling to find any time to write these blog posts, which is very odd as I do not go out to work ,I must have time management issues.
Any way since my last blog post we have had a wedding,my youngest son who's stag party I mentioned last time has married, and they made a great couple
we almost had a gate crasher
I had made the bridal posy the evening before and discovered this uninvited guest in the morning.
And little Miss X wanted to be in the photo with her Aunty and Uncle.
After the ceremony the family members came to our house for snacks before the afternoon/evening reception.
this was taken early on before the hall was packed with over 100 guests.
Everyone was asked to pose with a giant cut out of the happy couple, and post a photo and comments in the guest book.
I took very few photos, but the reception was great and everyone had a wonderful time ,the evening ended with a live band.
It was almost three years to the day that my eldest son was married at the same registry office
Last saturday
Before the ceremony as we were waiting to go in we were amused to see a local man taking his cats for a walk, no leads they just followed him and when he sat down outside the registry office the cats stopped and settled down ,just like dogs would do.
The wedding date clashed with the Ruby wedding celebrations of my great friends ,hard to believe 40 years have passed since this photo was take of me as their bridesmaid.
to mark the occasion I made a little tag book for them which could either be used for guests to sign or perhaps as a photo album.
I also created more pages for the European journal swap
and I received pages from sandy in the monthly journal page swap.
We had a few days dry so the fields were able to be cut
And I managed to make this creation for the craft section of the local flower show.
And guess what
I won Best in Show and Best exhibit by a parish resident. I must admit I was a little shocked , that my crazy Sizzix creation beat all the other traditional craft items.
For the Best In show it was either me or
These beauties
4 giant onions.
I am sure the person who grew them probably felt cheated that he was beaten by a collection of old fish tins.
I have been asked to make a tutorial and I promise I will ,but I will not be able to do it for a couple of weeks.

That tin flower arrangement is just incredible too. I don't know how you do it either. So much art goodness going on with you as well as weddings, granddaughter watching, art swaps. You are amazing.
Hope you are having a nice end of summer.
Take care,
Denise
