BESIDE THE SEA

I seem to have had a week of doing very little crafting , this was partly due to feeling unwell for a few days and the fact that we went to Devon for the weekend. So this post will be mainly photos.

When we arrived in Devon on Friday evening there was a wing walking display. I have a dislike of flying and I am not that keen on deep water so I am not sure I would have wanted to be either of the two women strapped to the wings.

This  was all part of the Lifeboat fundraising week and on Saturday many stalls set up trying to raise funds for this valuable service.

Everyone was encouraged to go the EXTRA MILE and walk along the breakwater and back (1 MILE ) and get a certificate.

There was a British Warship moored in the Bay for 3 days and there were tours for those who were lucky enough to get tickets. And although I have no interest in sailing I would loved to have been on this tour bus :)

I took this photo from our window mainly for the cloud formation

This is our new boat with the previous owner showing my Husband Son ,and his partner the ropes. I say our boat actually I am never likely to go on board as I have already said I am not keen on sailing.
I will just stick to my SIZZIX, talking of which I had some more new dies arrive and as I love to recycle I cut these shapes from my favourite tin cans.

I cut these from old loyalty cards and I am going to make a pair of earrings.
UK   readers may recognise these  as Tesco and Somerfield.

  1. Hi Mary, Love the photos. They remind me of Summers growing up on Hayling Island in Hampshire. Not all hot and sunny days. I see some of the folks are wearing sweaters. You probably know that it was hot over here. Boston hit 103F or 34.6C. Very warm and we were glad to get out on the water even though we stayed on our mooring. I hope you had a good time while you were here. Boston is a nice little city. DH and I like your new boat. I LOVE the picture of the giraffe - wherever did you find it?
    Hugs
